Eventide is a women’s fashion label founded and designed by Sarah Spratt and Christian Stroble. Spratt and Stroble’s designs are both elegant and modern, combining classic femininity with a stark, industrial aesthetic. Having both grown up in urban environments, Spratt and Stroble bring the look and feel of their hard-edged hometowns to the soft silhouettes of classic womenswear.

Spratt was born and raised in Detroit. Although she began her education as a costume design student at Wayne State University, she soon decided that fashion design was a better fit and transferred to the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2001. After moving to New York, she began selling vintage textiles and worked as a sewing assistant to sculptor Nayland Blake. Stroble was born in upstate New York, but also moved to the city to study fashion at FIT. The two designers met in and launched Eventide in 2004.

Spratt and Stroble aim to create pieces that are stylish enough to stand out from the rest but wearable enough to become everyday items. But, more than just being uniquely wearable, Eventide pieces seem to have a story. Spratt and Stroble draw inspiration not only from their industrial hometowns, but form literature, art, vintage pieces, and past fashions. Their designs combine aesthetics and influences in a way that generates a sense of significance, creating a line of womenswear that is not only beautiful, but meaningful.
